It's time for a Mission....It's Time to Roll!

Over the past few weeks, the idea has surfaced that one of the best ways to make our voices heard is by sending a signed letter to the Planning Board, asking them to 'Just say NO!' to the application for a quarry in Winthrop. The best course of action is to provide them with the voice of the people.....You!

We've drafted a Letter of Support for you to print, fill out, get your significant other, friends, neighbors, etc. to do the same and we will present it to the Planning Board at an upcoming meeting. This is not a petition, but rather a letter supporting a moratorium on this and other applications until such a time as the Planning Board and the Town understand all the health and environmental ramifications of such a project and can therefore render a decision.

Anyone can sign this letter, you do not have to be a registered voter or of legal voting age as this is not a petition. Print the attached file, and let's get going.

We have three weeks to get this done as we would like to present this to the Planning Board at the February 8th meeting. So time is of the essence, please don't put it off, as this is the loudest statement we can make against this proposed open pit mine.
